Hi, I’m Holly. I am a UK-based history enthusiast, writer and translator. I have a BA in History and Spanish and an MA in Translation – while I currently work in the languages field, history, and specifically women’s history, remains a passion of mine, which I am pleased to share with you here!

About the blog

‘Historically Woman’ is dedicated to women’s history and women in history, which are so often overlooked in academic settings. I aim to shed light on women from all ages and all walks of life, from the well-known to the more obscure.

I believe that women’s stories are just as important as men’s and, in this day and age, it is now more important than ever that we take time to search them out. If we let this current state of affairs continue, so much history will eventually be lost to us.

I hope that this blog will grow and will be a place for history lovers of all genders to celebrate women in history.
